Egg trays we stock

Which egg tray should you buy?

• Paper egg trays – the cheapest option for selling eggs. Sold singly or in bales of 100. Best for farmers and traders who hand the tray over with the eggs.
• Hard paper egg trays – thicker pulp that holds its shape when stacked, for longer trips and heavier stacks.
• Plastic egg trays – washable and reusable for years. Best for collecting eggs in the poultry house and for farm-to-shop deliveries where the trays come back.
• Egg transportation crates – rigid crates that protect stacked trays on motorbikes and pick-ups.

Every tray holds 30 eggs. For a flock of 500 layers at good production you will fill roughly 13–15 trays a day.

Frequently asked questions

How many eggs does one egg tray hold?

One standard egg tray holds 30 eggs, for both paper and plastic trays.

How many paper egg trays are in a bale?

A bale has 100 paper egg trays. We sell both single trays and full bales.

Are plastic egg trays better than paper trays?

Plastic trays cost more but can be washed and reused for years, so they are better for use on the farm. Paper trays are cheaper and better when the trays leave with the eggs.

Do you deliver egg trays outside Nairobi?

Yes. We deliver egg trays to all 47 counties within 24 hours, and the same day within Nairobi.
