How to Use the 5KG Broiler Chicken Feeder
- Place the feeder on a stable and suitable surface inside the poultry house.
- Fill the hopper with the appropriate poultry feed.
- Check that feed is reaching the feeding tray correctly.
- Position the feeder where birds can comfortably access the tray.
- Refill the hopper when the available feed becomes low.
- Clean the feeder regularly to maintain good feeding hygiene.
The number of feeders required depends on factors such as bird age, flock size, feeder design, feeding management and the manufacturer’s recommendations. Avoid relying on a single feeder-to-bird ratio unless it has been established for the specific feeder and production system.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning helps maintain good poultry feeding hygiene. Remove leftover or contaminated feed, clean the feeder as appropriate for the material, and allow it to dry properly before refilling.
Inspect the feeder regularly for cracks, damage or other problems that could affect feeding or cause feed wastage.
