What Is Poultry Plastic Mesh?
Poultry plastic mesh is a grid-like plastic mesh designed for agricultural and poultry applications. Its open structure makes it suitable for applications where ventilation, drainage and separation are required as part of the farm housing system.
Unlike conventional metal wire mesh, plastic mesh does not rust. Its lightweight construction also makes it easier to transport, cut and handle during installation.
Uses of Poultry Plastic Mesh
This green poultry plastic mesh can be used for a variety of poultry and agricultural applications, including:
- Poultry house flooring
- Chicken house flooring systems
- Brooder house applications
- Poultry house fencing
- Poultry house partitions
- Chicken house barriers
- Rabbit house applications
- Other suitable agricultural enclosures and farm projects
Poultry Plastic Mesh for Chicken House Flooring
Poultry plastic mesh can be incorporated into poultry flooring systems where a mesh-based or raised floor is appropriate for the housing design. The openings allow air and waste to pass through the mesh while helping separate birds from the underlying surface.
The mesh should be installed on a properly designed and adequately supported structure appropriate for the birds and housing system.
Poultry Plastic Mesh for Fencing and Partitions
The mesh can also be used for poultry house fencing, internal partitions and barriers. Its lightweight construction makes it convenient to cut and position according to the requirements of the poultry house.
Why Use Plastic Poultry Mesh?
- Lightweight: Easy to transport and handle during installation.
- Rust-free: Plastic does not rust like conventional metal wire mesh.
- Easy to cut: Can be cut to suit different farm installation requirements.
- Versatile: Suitable for poultry flooring, fencing, partitions and other agricultural applications.
- Easy to clean: Can be cleaned as part of normal farm hygiene and maintenance.
- 25m² per roll: Each 1m × 25m roll provides approximately 25 square metres of mesh.
How Much Area Does One Roll Cover?
One roll measures 1 metre × 25 metres.
The coverage is calculated as:
1m × 25m = 25m²
Therefore, one roll provides approximately 25 square metres of mesh before allowing for cutting, overlaps or installation requirements.
For example, a project requiring approximately 50m² would require about two rolls, subject to the actual installation design and any material needed for overlaps or cutting.
20.40mm × 20.40mm Mesh Opening
The poultry plastic mesh has an approximately 20.40mm × 20.40mm mesh opening. This grid size makes it suitable for a range of poultry housing, fencing and agricultural applications.

How to Calculate How Many Rolls You Need
Measure the length and width of the area you want to cover and calculate the total area:
Length × Width = Area in square metres

Allow additional material where your installation requires cutting, overlaps or other adjustments.
